Instructor Certifications and Credentials

The Dangerous Goods Trainers Association operates as part of NESHTA, an internationally recognized Non-Profit Organization dedicated to Environmental, Health and Safety Training.

Through our affiliations with NESHTA and with our own development programs as well, we can offer the following professional accreditation program to our members.

Certified Dangerous Goods Trainer

The Dangerous Goods Trainers Association Core Committee is in the process of writing standards for a variety of Dangerous Goods proficiency exams. These exams (and certifications) will evaluate the subject-matter expertise of the instructors. If you are interested in volunteering to assist us in this process, please email core@dgtrainers.org.

In addition to being a subject matter expert, when it comes to the various modal regulations, a good instructor needs to know how to teach people. One of the biggest challenges our industry has faced is subject-matter experts who needed to improve their teaching and communication skills. Through the various programs offered by the DGTA and NESHTA we can help an instructor gain the recognition they deserve for the skills they already have, or help them improve those skills through our professional development programs and certifications.
