Dangerous Goods Trainers Association

Purpose

The Dangerous Goods Trainers Association (DGTA) sponsors and promotes a worldwide voluntary, independent certification system for professional instructors in dangerous goods transport. The Association provides a forum for its members who subscribe to published standards, a professional code of ethics, and demonstrate expert subject knowledge and superior communication skills.

Mission
The mission of DGTA is to promote exceptional competency for Dangerous Goods Trainers worldwide through education, communications, networking and voluntary professional certification.

Vision
DGTA seeks to establish a global standard for certified DG Instructors. Shippers and carriers of dangerous goods can be confident that our certified instructors:

  1. Have proven communication skills and core competencies
  2. Are up-to-date with the applicable regulations and relevant standards
  3. Meet the training standards required by best practice

By using a DGTA Certified Instructor, entities can expect to receive training from a person who values a commitment to safety, quality training and their own professional growth. Better quality training improves the level of safety and the efficiency of all operations.
